The Full Monty........Kiev Trip Report Part 3

When I got home that night I got a call from the first girl I met ( natalie wood). She wanted to know if we could meet the next day. I told her we could and arranged to meet your during my free time from my dates. I also got a call from one of my friends in Kiev. She told me that she just got a new girl that is looking to meet a nice guy from the USA and she has the pictures for me to check out. She described her as a Claudia Schiffer look a like. Now how could I say no to that! She said she would stop by my place in the morning with the pictures and if I was interested we would call her from my place to arrange a meeting.
The next morning my friend stopped by and the girl did indeed look like Claudia Schiffer with a bit of Faye Dunaway circa Bonnie & Clyde thrown in. We called her and arranged a date for the next day.
My first date was set for noon and I arranged it for the Tour restaurant.
This woman was young about 22 years old and a recent graduate from culinary school. I was introduced to her by friends and only saw one previous picture of her. We met for a cafe and she was a sweet girl but not my type. She was very inexperienced and kind of simple, which isn't totally a bad thing. But appearance wise she wasn't what I was looking for. She asked me if I wanted to see her again and I told her that right now I didn't know my schedule for the next few days and that I would have my mutual friend call her. I didn't want to hurt her feelings and I also didn't want to lie.
Natalie Wood was next and I invited her over to my place for a glass of wine, some music and a beautiful view from my terrace.
Natalie showed up and proceeded to really give me the 3rd degree drill. I mean she questioned me about everything that ever happened in my life since birth. She came across really bossy and I knew this is what I wasn't looking for. She also told me that she would have to know a guy for at least a year before she ever would get engaged. I told her I agree and couldn't wait to finish the wine and tell her adios. She could sense my interest wasn't very good and so she beat me to the punch and told me I wasn't her type and was ready to leave. I give her crdeit for her perceptive abilities and wished her well and goodbye.
My next date was with a beautiful girl that I found in the Anatasia catologue. This girl was a beauty and built like a brick.......
She recommended a place near her work to meet. Her english was really poor so I took one of my lady friends along to translate for us.
I must admit I was excited for this one as appearance wise she was definetely my type. She showed up about 20 minutes late which didn't please me too much as we met at a place near where she worked.
It was one of those pastry shops that are popping up all over Kiev. It was very busy with what I would call a yuppie crowd.
Finally she showed up and I thought WOW! This was one good looking lady. Unfortunately she was either dumber than a box of rocks or else totally disinterested in me. She barely made any conversation with me and she tried to make conversation with my translater. My translater friend said she was not very intelligent and probably in love with her looks. I still gave her the chocolates, which she proceeded to leave on the table unopened and just got up and left. I had to laugh because it just struck me as kind of funny. I did have a delicious apple strudel however and a nice glass of Moldovian wine so it wasn't a total loss.
I had some time to kill so I went back to the apartment and called some friends. I also contacted the girl in south Ukraine about her arrival in Kiev. She said that she would have to come a day later because of work. I was kind of disappointed because I had spoken to her for several months about her arrival in Kiev. But as they say sheet happens so that was that.
My date that evening was another "non starter" and not worth describing. As I returned home that evening I started to get a bad feeling that this trip wasn't going to work for me. I hope I was going to be wrong.........next Part 4.....
