Hello, my fiance asked me to ask the forum about where one stays when one is waiting for the interview in Moscow. She will have an extended wait as she is from vladivostok and will have to get the medical, results and then the interview.

Dex!  I hope you are not going to have your fiancee wait in Moscow until the visa is granted?

I know of a two guys whose fiancee also came from Vladivostok and they did not see any sense in going back to Vladivostok only to return in the next week to pick-up there visa. One week, they wait, two weeks they wait. Ater two weeks one lady flew back home. After the third week the other lady flew back home, and they are still there today, 5 weeks after the interview!

Ok Dex, here is a little information that might help with regards to some in-expensive hotels.

Jack,

Thanks for the info...

Well, we are probably about 3-4 months away at this point so several things could happen.

1. visas will start to be issued in the week or two range..
2. they won't
3. she has a friend near moscow she can stay with but that is a bit shakey at the moment..new boyfriend in the flat.
4. she flies back and waits.

I think flying back is a good choice if the wait is over 2 weeks or so. But, we shall see. She likes to have all bases covered. But, at the moment it looks like a few days or a week in moscow, interview and fly back.
bummer
