these are some things that you should never do if you met a lady via internet , or by buying her addreess. And you so badly want to see her because you think she is your soul mate ....

1. establish a very good correspondence with her before you travel south . Like 4-5 months ....

2. Don't depend on just emails through a agencie , you want to get her home address , maybe where she wroks , her cell number , her home phone number ect .... you can't get these then there are some red flags .

3. You MUST have some verbal talk between the two of you , find some translators in your city to help you .

4.exchange some letters and photos in the mail  or on the computer ..if they do not want to send you more photos on the computer then some thing is wrong .............  

5 tell them when I am there I want to meet your family , if she no  , this is a problem ....

6. never send money or flowers till you have met this ghost in person ..... if the girl is respectable she will more than likely not ask for money .... maybe a little to buy stamps....

7. and of course have back up plans ...........I walked off a plane in Peru and this babe was so bad I went straight to the HArd rock CAfe and met 2 beautfiful ladies in 2 hours ......

more guys could be a little more successful if they would stick to there guns and not something out ........

Jake,

This is a good post.  Please continue this type of post that can truly help many of us, and lay off the "bash Bruce" hour.  I will never use one of his tours, but that is mainly because I have not interest in tours.  I have taken 2 trips to Colombia, so I am not totally new to this process.  But, I will be the first to admit that I need to learn more.  I am working on learning more spanish, but that takes time.  In the meantime, I am also trying to learn the ropes concerning other issues.  I agree with what you said in this post.  I would like to hear more tips like this from you and the other more experienced guys.

Something I think you really need to do is put yourself in their frame of mind.
I wrote alot of woman on Amigos.com alot of them were throw aways big time.
Why? they could not answer a straight question always trying to avoid anything
that would expose their little game.

   I told you before I met my wife thru Amigos.com.  I talked to her for about 6
months before I went to see her. The one thing that made me open my eyes was
I keeped all the e-mails everything. You know what everything we talked about
was true everything she told me was true. I spent almost 1 month the first time I
went to see her I saw everything. I saved some money because I lived in the
house with the family, I would not recommened this to everybody only because
if things had failed it would have really sucked big time. . If I had did this with
the girl from Peru she would have been kicked to the curb like a bad habit.

Thanks for your input.  Maybe I will try the Amigos.com sometime. I have looked at it, but up to this point, I have not been impressed with the looks of the women.  Maybe I will look a little deeper next time.  Take care.

Go to amigos and check out the women there from Medellin. If you can't find some very hot women there, then we must have very different tastes in women.

Okie, ALso try match.com/latinamerica, i met lots of amigas on that site.  I notice that they TEND on AVERAGE to be LITTLE MORE "classy/educated" than the ones i've met on CYPERCUPIDOS.  I've also tried AMIGOS, but switch to match.  A previous poster gave some excellent advice about using match, ie, subscribing for couple months then resubscribing that way you get free email blast from the site to it's memeber as a "NEW" member.

Since you age range is 30 & UP and you're OK w/ KIDS.  I notice LOTS of those are available on match.

that it is not well-known in Colombia. Which is amazing when you see how many Colombianas are on the site. Amigos is by far the most widely known and used site of this sort in Colombia.
