Restaurant Trumunti's (not sure of the spelling) is very nice, it over looks all of Bogota, very romantic, it has a bar downstairs and the restuarant is upstairs.  Its located in the moutains, but only about a 10-15 cab ride from LAI's hotel (an illegal U=turn makes the trip really fast.)

The "El Carbon de Palo" is really nice too(great baby beef there)

Casa de Vejae (spelling) is great too

Andre casa de Res (Andres house of the cow(beef)) is great, but located outside of Bogota about 5-7 miles

The most expensive dinners there run about $30-35 US for two people with wine included.

I know many people enjoy eating more ethnic dishes when there but you have to try the beef in Colombia.  its something about the way they prepare it that beats anything I have had elsewhere(try the baby-beef)

Have fun

Try Casa Brava. It on "La Calera", that's the route which goes up the mountain in the north of the city. This is a rustic, but trendy restaurant with an incredible view of Bogotá at night. And the food is good. It is one of my favorite places in Bogotá, along with El Carbon de Palo. If you do go to Casas Brava and you do not have a car, you best go by taxi. But, pay the taxi to wait (it's worth it) or you may not get a taxi there at night. (I know from experience !) Some say the area is dangerous, but I have never had any problem at all. Just don't walk around anwhere in the area.

Good luck.

Andres Carnes Steak House, just outside Bogota
It is an event, allocate a whole Friday or Sat night

There is also a restaurant a round Zona Rosa, wher evry one has ther own fireplace, and also little rooms with frieplaces going and couples sit on the floor all cozy.
I forgot the name , but many local know it.
I am not quite sure if it is  Zona Rosa, but within 15 minutes of it
