Cross Dresser Having Trouble Getting Hitched

A man who came to the Hamilton County Courthouse wearing a dress and accompanied by his bride-to-be is having trouble getting hitched.
Officials in the County Clerk's office said the couple first came in a week and a half ago.
The man was wearing a yellow dress at the time.
Susie Holloway said she confirmed through the man's driver's license that he was a male and used other ID to confirm that the person with him was female. Ms. Holloway said under state law, the office cannot issue licenses to members of the same sex.
She said since the couple was not of the same sex, the license was issued.
But Ms. Holloway said the couple apparently could not find anyone to marry them, and they returned Wednesday to report their plight.
"He was a little upset," Ms. Holloway said.
A minister who regularly performs marriages at a site near the courthouse reportedly refused to marry the couple.
Ms. Holloway said couples who get a marriage license have to find someone to perform the ceremony. They must return the paperwork to the clerk's office before the marriage can be recorded.
The man was wearing a purple dress on his trip to the courthouse Wednesday.
