...is that in many ways you continually personify what's bad about this business. I usually cut you some slack because I feel (like many here I suspect) you're too much of a rube to beat on but sometimes you rankle me enough to say something. Think before you type so you don't come across as a country bumpkin, if that's at all possible. I mean come on, do you really want to emulate these folks?: www.mytrailerpark.com

....... still LMGO.

Who spends more time on the internet, LP or Bill?

Finding a site like that is self explanatory !!!!! :-)

...although I'll be the first to admit the Cyclops takes up too much of my time. It's because I'm often trapped at home on my days off for professional and personal reasons. When you spend your life traveling it leaves lots of crap to do when you're home and sometimes I'm on standby. Like today for example. Bill on the other hand is just a hick with all the time in the world and a 56K modem. He's lucky I even lowered myself to spank him.

That website (as with many I know of) was sent to me by someone. I keep them in all reserve for when I need to make a point or inject humor so I'm glad some enjoyed it. Besides, how much brains does it take to Google "trailer park" or anything else when you need it? Bill needs to learn the internet is much more than a global pornography network.

... in response to Glad you liked it..., posted by LP on Jan 29, 2005

Liked it, just laughed. I dont generally laugh about others misfortunes, but that site is obviously 'not real life' and hence spun me right out!

Know the feeling well when one has been away for a week or so. Yep, miles of *crap* to catch up on when you run your own home and without housekeeper. Those chores just never go away.

By the way, we dont have trailer parks as such, but *Caravan Parks*, and they usually, more often than not, mostly never contain permanent residents. Rules are very strict in this country regarding such; and the rules made by Associations, Owners and Managers of such Caravan Parks.

So I was never ever going to do a Google on Trailer Parks, they just dont exist in our vocab.

Didn't even bother going to that website and look at "LP-family"...

Who better to know where the website is at, than the creator of it.

The one thing to remember is that you are trying to make a good first impression as well as the ladies that you will meet. I also hate to wear a tie, and you don't have to at a social. But try to have a good appearance to make that important first contact. Pace yourself, and take notes. I was totally burned out after the second social, and could hardly talk going into the third. Good Luck!!

I never went to a social, but when in Ukraine, I dressed casual but nice. The 1st week was rather chilly, so I was relatively bundled up compared to most, but the 2nd week was warmer and I dressed in jeans or slacks and nice shirts. Never once did I look out of place and was never 'made' as an american until I opened my mouth.
As for once my wife got here, it didn't take her long to dress down to the 'local' attire, but we live on Maui and there aren't any places that coat and jacket are required. In fact seeing someone dressed that way is a very rare occasion...aloha
