I have traveled to Russia a number of times but for the life of me I cannot remember if I am allowed to take food along?  I have taken candy and even some whisky before but can I take with me some sausage and Cheese?

Thanks

I am flying out tomorrow...  All I can remember is one trip back from the Ukraine entering the United States they asked me if I had brought any food back I told them no even though I had a jar of strawberries that me and my Ukraine friends made a few days before...  Anyway I like Russian Sausage and cheese a little bland for my taste but it's good.  I just made my own Venison Sausage and went to Cabella’s and purchased some buffalo and elk sausage...  Cheese from my nearby Wisconsin...

Thanks again,
Ryan

Best of luck.  I believe as long as the cheese and sausage is commercially packaged it is ok.  Chances are they will not hassle you about it regardless.
