Allow me this opportunity to thank all who participated in the debate about the war in Iraq. I for one very much appreciated the thoughtful responses and especially the civility shown by the participants. I learned from all of you. It was great to share all that knowledge and challenging opinions. Discussions like this I believe can only strengthen our democracy.
Do not ever stop questioning what our government is doing to us and in our name. It is the government of the people and we are responsible.
I apologize to all of you who may have been overwhelmed by all the "Re's." My very dear Russian lady is very concerned about this event and America's position. Now I can better share with her the diversity of view points and our unique freedom to express and respect them. In that sense I do believe it was relevent to the subject of the forum.
I am confident that you will all agree with me that now that the war has begun our Armed Forces deserve our total support. Join me in prayers for their safety and for all their loved ones who are suffering from their absence. Let us not forget the innocent Iraqis, may they also be spared and may the damage to their country be minimal. May it all end quickly and successfully.
