Hello guys,

Thank you so so much for your condolences, calls, emails, concerns, prayers, donations, help, advice and just comforting words.
Who could have thought???!!! I didn¡¦t see this even in the scariest dream¡K You cannot even imagine what I came and am coming through¡K Sad The only thing that comforts me that Lance is not in pain any more, no more pain, no more pain, NO MORE PAIN¡K Jesus, just kiss him and hug him there for me, please, please¡K And we with Andre will be absolutely fine. Lance¡¦s family is very good to me.

Answering your messages. About those 2 years and 1 day, I think we were married Feb 21 2000 and now it is 2003, so it is 3 years and one day (that¡¦s a great observation any way Smiley), more over I have a 10  year green card and Andre who is an American citizen, so I don¡¦t think that INS may have anything against me staying here.

With all due respect to science and medicine, I have really lots of miracles that happened in my life that are enough to believe in God, Jesus is with me all the time¡K just look at Andre, he was conceived when Lance probably already had cancer, and Andre is a healthy happy cute boy, just Lance¡¦s copy ƒº Dealing with Lance¡¦s health issues, during this period of 3 years, I myself became some sort of a scientist and a nurse, researching, talking, meeting and learning from people from these fields. We should do everything in the natural; God can choose anything as a cure.

And again for those who don¡¦t know what happened and who I am ƒº. My name is Anastassia; my husband Lance Wasem died of infection that spread out due to perforation in his colon and that happened because of a colon cancer metastasized to liver and abdominal area. Sorry for details. Also I have a SON, his name is Andre, right now we are living at Lance¡¦s sister¡¦s house, trying to figure out benefits from SS, 4O1K, stocks, selling condo, paying bills¡K.

Burial was on Thursday with the following service celebrating Lance¡¦s life.
This Sunday pastor from our church will dedicate 3 services to Lance, also Friday Microsoft¡¦s flag was on half mast and they published an article about Lance in their micro news and internal website. Sounds great, but I don¡¦t feel that great, at this moment I can agree that ¡§this is true testament that the good get set free while the rest of us are stuck here paying our penitence¡¨

The only thing I know for sure, I am an optimist, some time will pass and I will be happy again, and if God sends me a son, his name will be Lance. :-)

And again I am sending lots of thanks and appreciation to Joe Burwell, Bruce Bradshaw, Don Picard, Cold Warrior, Joe and Maryna, JohnL, Randy Nero, C.W. and many, many others.

You're definitely in the thoughts of a lot of people here on the board.  Sounds like you have great support from his family as well, which will be very important in getting you through this rough time.  Sounds like you were both very lucky to have found each other.  Lance was able to experience a lot of happiness in his final days, thanks to you.

Best of luck to you and drop a note every now and then letting everyone now how you are doing.

Anastassia,

I feel your grief coming thru cyberspace and I feel your strength as well.I also see and feel your great love and caring for Lance.I don't know you as I am new to the board but I am human and I have suffered great loss in my life as you just have,I have great empathy for you in this time of grieving.
There are always positive things that come from great tragedies although they are seldom manifest early in the grieving process.Colon cancer is one of the top killers of men and most, tragically, could have been prevented by a simple proceedure.I am one of the lucky ones.My best friend and mentor years ago urged me to get one of these procedures and it saved my life.I would have put it off much longer had he not cajoled me into doing it.I had     polyps and it would have been colon cancer in three years.Thank you for your inspiring post and I will say prayers for you and your young son.

I am now just reading your story. I dont follow the board as closely as I use to in the past.

All I can say is that my thoughts are with you...and prayers... I admire your faith and it is a good example to all or us... all of us will go through some kind of difficult time in our lives... it is true.. though some seem to have more than their share. Life is a mystery... all we can do is hold on with faith... and the love of God.. and the warmth and comfort of the people who care... I am glad that many people on the board have expressed their thoughts of good will to you.
