...the Baltimore Opera is performing a Russian opera: Lady Macbeth of Mtensk (spelling).  Baltimore is the "sister city" of Saint Petersburg and there is a bunch of activity taking place in the months ahead to celebrate St. Petersburg's 300th anniversaary.  Not big into opera myself, but for ladies homesick for the mother language it may be great fun.  Starts on the 22nd and runs through March 2nd.
