I hope I have better luck. I struck out twice!! I am writing many ladies. Now I just have to decide on an area. I am not real keen on Ukraine right now, but not ruling it out. We will see. I may even make a long trip accross about Moldova, Ukraine, to Krasnodar.

Hey Ed!  You know, I really haven't noticed it too much to be honest!  She really is committed to doing things together and is quite serious about it.. Like the golf thing!  She wants lessons ASAP so she can go with me in the spring!  I think I could say that I wanted to go bungee jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge and I think she would say "ok, when do we leave?"! LOL!

ironing my underwear was a colosal waste of time, especially considering all the other things that need to be done around the house compared with what she had to do in her miniature Russian flat.  As far as dress sirts, no way could she achieve the results of a dry cleaner with heavy starch, so she quickly gave up.  This was all with my urging and blessing, of course.

With regard to shopping, she too was frugal when she first arrived, but time changes all.  Now she can shop with the best of 'em.

When I went to Russia looking for a bride, I really wasn't looking for a "50s" woman.  I just wanted great looking wife...better than I could get here (and that I succeeded in).

She does take care of me like my Mom, though!!!

How about T-Shirts?

My wife irons ALL of them. She didn't used to. I told her that T-Shirts were just to be worn around the house.

Then I wore one when I went out once... (I think to Lowe's Lumber Yard, if I remember correctly...) She was horrified when she saw me go out in public in a wrinkled shirt!

Now EVERY shirt gets ironed.

The other day, she came in as I was working, looked me over and pronounced: "You look well! I like it when you are not wrinkled!"

My "Mario is Back!" T-Shirt never looked so good...

You could be right of course, but I wouldn't be making any bets on it if I were you..  Took me 4 trips to find this gal and she is somethin'... I'm not just talking about good looking, you can find that blindfolded in the FSU, I'm talking about honesty, sincerity, genuine kindness and a deep spirituality.  Believe me, if she were not these things, I would see it reflected in her son, but it is not.  She has done a fabulous job with him because of who she truly is and for that I feel very fortunate..

But to those newbies perhaps who read something like this and think "wow, I want that, it shouldn't be that hard to find"..  Guess again!  It took a helll of a lot of hard work, determination, money and just plain dumb luck IMO!  I remember people saying how much fun I must have had on those trips.  I tell them there were certainly some fun moments but all in all it was just plain hard work, it was NOT a "vacation"!  But because of this, it really has paid off.
