Does anyone have any ideas where else to search for tickets to Sofia, Bulgaria flying out of Detroit?  I've tried the usuals...bestfares.com; worldwideair.com; economytravel.com; etc but the best I've seen is $870 for late April/early May.

I flew to Japan during Nov. and Europe in early Jan. I did REAL well pricewise using Priceline. Good luck.

Did you get reasonable flights and connections?  Since you buy flights unseen from Priceline you might get flights at really inconvenient times and / or tough to make connections.

I have seen Expedia offer tickets with a 10 minute connection time in Moldova traveling between Kiev and Miami.  I wouldn't want to get stuck with something like that.

the East coast and Narita (Ouch! 14hrs, 10 minute flight time.....ANA, good service, $525 total rdtrip...Delta wanted over $1200) and only 1 connection to Europe (Air France...no problem with the connection at CDG). I'll again use Priceline for a trip to Italy in June and Finland in September. If you are flexible, Priceline may be your best option. Good luck.

That's nice to hear. As I said, I have always been a little leary of Priceline because you don't know what connections you are getting until after you have paid.
