I was scheduled to meet Claudia Schiffer at 12:30 at the Tour restaurant. My Kiev lady friend was going to meet us there just for the initial introduction and leave.
Claudia showed up in time and she did in fact look a lot like her namesack except that she, like many fsu women dyed her hair red. She has tall slender and a good shape.
Her english was very good and my friend left us alone shortly. We had very good commuinication and mutual interest. She came from a good family, liked history a lot as I do and had a good sense of humor. We spent about 90 minutes together and arranged to see each other the next day. We both had the pancakes and red caviar and liked it very much, so I invited her to my place tomorrow to have a bottle of champagne, red caviar and some good music and a view from the terrace that was the best in Kiev. She thought that was great and agreed. We went for a bit of walk around the city center and then I got her a taxi and a kiss goodbye.
My next date was with a girl that I had met the year before when I was in Kiev.I had met her right at the end of my visit and really didn't have the time to put in with her as I would have liked. She was 25 and originally from the infamous Lugansk. But she wasn't a scammer insofar as I could tell and a sweet girl.
We met at a place where we had met originally. It was across the street and down from the main post office where you walk between the big arch and there are a bunch of cafes and restaurants. We met at a pastry bar for a tea and dessert. It was a nice visit and her english had improved a lot since I had last seen her. The english lessons were working for her. However after coming right from the date with Claudia, she had a tough act to follow and it was like meeting a friend rather than a potential partner and she said our goodbyes, both knowing we would never see each other again.
My date that night was with the dentist for a second time. We agreed to meet at the Tour then to take a taxi to this authentic Ukrainian restaurant that had live singers and looked like the inside of a barn. It was very authentic to old Ukraine and great food.
The dentist arrived on time and we took the taxi to the restaurant.
She was very polite and told me how much she enjoyed our first date.
We had a lovely dinner and she told me that she was interested in meeting someone special and eventually moving from Ukraine. I just didn't feel any great chemistry with her, even though I could tell she really liked me. I think appearance wise she wasn't what I was looking for. I think she knew I wasn't overly enthused about pursuing it any further and she asked me a few times if I was tired or if I was ok.
We took a taxi together, dropped me off and took her home. When I got home. I watched a little tv and my phone rang. It was Claudia and she said she would be over at 12:00 for the champagne and caviar and that she was really looking forward to seeing me again.
I went to sleep sensing that tomorrow was going to be an interesting day, and boy was I right.....more on that in Part 5

Turner,
Very good report.  Just know that EVERYONE reads trip reports even if you have few comment posts.  It is very helpful to those who have never gone over and very nostalgic for those who have been there.  You seem to have handled your trip well.
