Well I don't pop in here much to say hi and keep in touch, but I thought I'd share a little today.  One year and 7 months of marriage to Mares has resulted in a pregnancy.  Yep she's taken two home tests and they both came back positive.  We go to the doctor monday for an official test.

This isn't just special because we're about to become parents, it's special also because about 11 years ago I had a vasectomy.  Well just three months ago I had surgury to reverse this and it worked.

Life is good.  The best to everyone in they're pursuit of happiness.

Guys,

FOA, Congratu-frickin-lations!!!  You better hide the suitcases now that you're adding to the brood :c)  LOL

Secondly, I'm hurt that you find it so easy to discuss your member and not invite me to the conversation!  LOL.  Sorry bro, we don't hear from you forever--on here at least--and then all you wanna talk about is your Johnson, I had to give you a little ribbing ;c)

Tell your girl how happy I am for the both of you!  We'll have to keep in better touch if I'm gonna be an Uncle :c)  BTW:  Howard IS and appropriate name for a boy OR a girl :c)

See how happy it makes me to get good news from you guys :c)

Congrats!  As always, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers :c)

Dan and Mares,
Congratulations to both of you!   The pitter patter of little feet will soon be heard.   There's nothing like it as we are learning.  Our daughter just had her first birthday a couple of weeks ago.   Glad to hear your news.

I'm no doctor and there are numerous websites that will give you more info on this.  However...

When I had my vasectomy, I was told it was irreversable.  However, I've learned that about any guy who has had one, can have it reversed, as long as he still has the family jewels.

The first step is to be examined by a surgeon or urologist who does the operation.  He can give you a better idea of the chances of success.  Mine were about 50/50 based on it being 11 years since I had the procedure.

The surgery took around 3 hours.  I took one week off from work and was banned from sex for three weeks.  No lifting for six weeks.  My wife got pregnant about two months latter.  The average time to preganancy is 6 months to a year.

Good luck.

Dan...do you mind if I ask, what that cost you to have that done? And how old you are?

The full cost was around $6,000.  I'm 44 and the vasectomy was about 11 years ago.

heheh... so much for technology don't you think?  You actually have to go to the doctor for an official  test?  Heck, why not just have her tested on the internet?

Should be official enough!

Lol, that's a joke... good luck and best wishes to you.
