Hey Red Clay,

Ok, as I asked Jimmy, what is pollada, or whatever the name of it is?   I am sure it must be some Peruvian dish.  By the way, that's not the hamster thing is it?  I have heard they like to eat hamsters, or some other little rodent.  It must be the Peruvian equalivent of hillbillies eating squirrels.  I used to go squirrel hunting with my grandpa all the the time, when I was a kid.  We lived in Southeastern Oklahoma at the time-- back in the hills, so to speak.  Everyone ate squirrel, rabbit, deer, or whatever you could hunt or catch.  But, my favorite has always been fish, especially catfish!  Man, I love eating fresh fish.  Not that store bought crap!

The word "pollada" refers to a party-cookout (or in) type event where the main course is pollo (chicken) cooked on a grill. In Peru, a family or group hosting the party would usually charge a small cover charge of each guest to offset the cost of the food and beverages. Wife says the actual main purpose of the event is to make a profit for the hosts Wink In Peru, any excuse to party/dance/drink. BTW, the guests do know in advance that a cover charge will be collected.

Sounds just like JimmySTL, doesn't it? Forever the businessman, lol.

Man, there is nothing better to be looking good on the arm of a latina looking even even better and in a nice place and all the other girls want you so bad you can see the froth coming out of there mouths. It happens if you dress nice. the downside is your ladies knows this as well and is very observant. Guess you cannot have it all. Dress nice and you will be amazed at what you can become .

Kiltboy 1,

Hey, I like the frothing or foaming at the mouth thing!  After that, do they  attack you and rip your nice clothes off you? ha  Oh well, I can dream, can't I? ha  Anyway, I plan to continue to do the upgrading, so that I can "dress to impress".  I may not be movie star material, but I can give it my best shot.  What the heck.

Okie

It is more casual in barranquilla, cartagena. In cali, it should be more casual, nothing very special about the city and for style wise except they expect it and not sure why. medellin, more formal, more professional and bogota, well just like NY City

If you guys have been consistently meeting Latinas who have expressed the opinion that infidelity and domestic abuse on their husbands' or boyfriends' part are tolerable if no one else knows about it, but will dump their man in a heartbeat if he wears whites sock in public, or shorts in public, or cowboy boots in public, or a Hawaian shirt in public, then you guys and I have been meeting COMPLETELY DIFFERENT groups of Latin women!

(quote)Want to know why "dress" is the number one gripe of most of the latin ladies? Because all your other flaws they can suffer privately, but your lack of appreciation of good style sense is out there for everybody to see. When a latina is walking around a nice mall or in a nice restaurant with some guy that looks like Archie Bunker on vacation at Disneyland that is a humiliation the ladies have suffer publicly.-- Teo Blas (end quote)

Well put. So if nothing else it's a matter of simple consideration.
