I  forgot to mention I did get together with Cali James and another friend married to  a Calena last week.James says he has not been to Cali for 3 years even though his wife is visiting there now.Just not much motivation to go.So he says maybe he should change his name and I should be Cali Pete.Even though its accurate I don't like the sound of it right now.
Plus James and my other buddy doing fine. The other guy,John B has a 4 month old baby.Several other couples in California are doing well also. Its not all about scammers and bad news. Some times the good news doesn't get posted, the guys are busy with other things. But a guy angry about a bad experience we are likely to hear about it.

Howard,
Little 4 month old boy.Very cute baby.Big blue eyes, looks like John.
Seems he was single  for a couple of years after I met him but he has been married over 4 years now.I met him at the palace December 99,found out he lived 30 miles from me  and we have been friends every since.
Yeah the good old days. But I am pretty happy with how it is right now.I had a flash driving the other day.I am no longer waiting for anything to happen after which everything will be wonderfull.I like it right now.

Naw, Cali Pete just doesn't have the same ring to it as Cali James. I can think of a whole lot worse though amigo.

For starters:

Piccolo Pete
Pete Er Pan
Pinocchio Pete
Penguin Pete

and if Heat were making this post it would be the dreaded and feared,

Penis Pete

but due to your tenor on the forum I think Patrick should bestow upon you the honorary title of the Planet-Love:

Papa Pete

Now for "Cali" James, I think his handle should be changed to:

Back in Dodge James.

Pablo,
I kind of like what they call me at my favorite restaurant,Don Pete, but not for a name here.
To Beatriz I am her Osito so she has all these Oso names.Oso perisoso is pretty accurate.
I got together with Bueller Saturday,we talked about you.We might both come and see you some time.If you want to come to Cali let me know.

Now Don Pedro I like.  It has a certain air to it, wouldn't you say, but I doubt if many of the guys here would like calling you Oso or Osito.  It must be that hairy chest rather than a grumpy disposition that earned you that name.  Let's leave those special cariños for Beatriz shall we?

You’ve gotta love these affectionate names in Spanish.  While my daughter was visiting me this past month I was calling her mi Blancita Gordita but she always thought I was calling her Fatty.  I finally just shortened it to Blancita which she came to like.

I'm looking forward to having you and Bueller visit me in Medellín.  The welcome wagon will be waiting for you both!  Yes, I would like to make it to Cali one day so thanks for extending the invitation.  Dios le pague.

Before you return to Colombia though stock up on some of those fine handcrafted brewskies to bring back with you.  One gets tired of Aquilla no matter how cute those four models look on their 6-pack carton.  If space is limited, we can always hit Polos de Muger (sp).  They make some nice cervezas.

Chao pues.

P,
Don Pedro does sound good.I never go by Pedro so the guys just made it Don Pete, which sounds a little funny.
The Osito names are pure girlfriend stuff, but its kind of cute from her.
Seems its slow right now in Cali,I have one regular room and my room sitting empty right now.So maybe a good time for coming over.We could do it like I  with Jim C in Cartagena we don't charge each other but just visit each other occasionally.
I like the Costenas if I put a lime in them. The Palo De Meguir light is good. The food at their Cali place not great, and the service sucks.Maybe because they can't see the front patio from inside. It wass alot better in Bogota.

I don't know about Colombian beer by Mexican beer is very good. My favorite beer of all is Indio. It's a dark red beer sort of like Shiner Bock. VERY good. Especially in draft. XX is also good I usually drink that as it's more widely available.  Bohemia is also very good. Anyways I'm curious about the Colombian beer now. By the way beer is one of the FEW things Ukrainians do good. Obolon is my favorite there.

Mexican beer is better. Colombian beer is light and low in alcohol, tastes like pee. Reminds me of drinking the old 3.2 beer sold years ago in Ohio. I love the microbeers, especially a well-bodied Red. For a lighter great German Wheat Beer try Hacker-Pschorr

¡Salud!  It seems like I'm drinking more of this milder version cerveza while in SA but I do miss some of the nice full-bodied ales that the Pacific NW has in many varieties.  It might be the warmer weather or me rationalizing that the carbonated cerveza is healthier than plain old tap water even though it’s considered safe in Medellín.

If you like the Bogotá Beer Company, the business I mentioned in my previous post also makes their own equally nice beers.  You'll have to skip a meal next time you are in town so we can go sample them because I don't want to ruin that new “low carb/fat, high veggie/fruit, lots of exercise” diet of yours. ;-)

A tip on rum though.  Check out the Cuban Ron Matusalem Grand Reserva that's been aged 15 years.   I bought some for a friend recently and we compared it side by side with the Ron de Medellín. The Cuban won hands down.  I’ve seen it for sale in Colombia and at the airport in Panama.  It comes in an attractive and colorful box.

I also enjoy Havana Club Rum but you cant bring these Rums from Cuba into the US. You are on regarding the other place and we can skip a meal to partake in some higher quality suds. Back to BQ Sat. Any progress on the chicas?
