YES!!! One-Thirty in the afternoon! That 7am flight was always a dayyum zoo! The new early flight into Cali is also a blessing!

Now...if only those bastards, would lower the fare 'bout 30 percent, life would be grand :-)

Beginning June 17th, AA also will have 2 flights daily from Miami to Medellín...
approx. same times as the Miami to Cali flights...

in the economic & political state of Colombia? Everytime, and I mean everytime I had to catch the dreaded 7am flight outta Cali...it was always madness getting your boarding pass & getting on the jet! I'd rather get on a 6am or 7am flight outta nyc in order to catch the early Miami flight to Cali.

I'm very surprised that AA added the extra flights.  In all the years I've taken that flight (probably 30 times in the last ten years), I can't ever remember it being full, and of course since 9/11 it has never even been close to full.
Hard for me to understand what justifies adding another flight, but it sure is alot more convenient for travelers.  Maybe their plan is to faze out the evening/early morning flight.
Here are the times for the new flights:

Miami-Cali  depart: 9:45 am  arrive: 12:20 pm
Cali-Miami  depart: 1:32 pm  arrive:  6:14 pm

I saw that Continental added a direct flight from Houston to cali (and returning of course) but it is still that bad 8 am time on the return. It starts the 15th of July. Are you talking about a new Avianca flight or somebody else?
