i have the mornings free since my girlfriend has to work so iīm taking the opportunity to let you guys know how things are going.i arrived friday afternoon by avianca from jfk, stopping off in bogota, aviancaīs service was excellent , arriving in barranquilla only 15 minutes late. in bogota there was a separate immigration counter for us who were making a connecting flight to barranquilla so there wasnīt a wait and customs was a breeze, the guys were nice.iīve had good luck with avianca since i know they have a bad reputation.

opon arrival we quickly hopped on a bus and headed to cartagena for the long weekend, it was great, went to the beach, went to mr babilla, the old city, walked around, talked  and drank a lot. for those that remember i was here in march to celebrate my girlfriends birthday so we spent time talking about what has happened since then, then we left and got back last night to celebrate a cousins birthday.the trip to cartagena was only 15,000 pesos per person each way in an a/c mercedes bus, very comfortable, with movie although the movie was violent and sad, kind of a bummer but we were talking during the trip anyway. itīs hot and humid here, i donīt know how they can live like this without a/c all year, fans are on at night but sometimes thats not enough, they tell me that the electric bills here are high so they keep usage to a minimum. thats all for now
