I was there. Good and bad I would say. All and all a capitalistic effort that stretched what ain't Colombia but I appreciate Jim's efforts to bring Colombian and Latin women together for the gringo's benefit. Unlike SA a 1 to 1 ratio about 25 men and about 25 women for the Fri and Sat evening parties ran 9 to 12pm sharp in the penthouse of the beachfront Holiday Inn. A few guys were disapointed but a decent effort. Those who danced had a good time. Some attractive women all ages. Women were from several different latin countries not just Colombia. No women showed up for the Sat am brunch. I did not make it to the Sunday BBQ at the park next door. They did not reserve enough rooms though so had to stay nearby Doubletree at peak rates of $225 nightly so an expensive weekend dropped $1,300. The Saturday party was a little better than the Friday party. A lot of the same women showed up Saturday night, they got free drinks both nights. |
