Title: Check this out...
Post by: Pacino on February 07, 2005, 05:00:00 AM
Pablo had asked me before for the link so here it is.  I'm sure many here can appreciate the beauty of the Colombian women.  I know I do... Let me know what you think...

It looks like you've got some competition.

www.lazonamodelos.com  or www.latinmodelos.com

It's a tuff choice. What the hell I'll join both!

Yeah, some competition. But, there's about a million sites doing the same thing. It's a big market.
Look for something new on my site in about 3 weeks.

Is your website simply for viewing pleasure, or is there some other purpose to it?  Also, where do the models come from?  I am curious more than anything, but also, I am assuming that your website is "just for fun".  I would bet that there is no way that any of us would have a "dogs chance" of ever meeting any of them.  But, for my part, that's ok.  I seriously doubt that any of the models would have an interest in a 51 year old man; especially since I am not rich! (ie Donald Trump getting married his model lady!)

P.S Your models are gorgeous, but I don't have to tell you that.

Okie,
With a little confidence nothing is impossible. If you think you can't land the beautiful ones, then you won't. Repeat after me, 'confidence is the key to be where I want to be'. Continue to repeat this phrase until it is a part of your inner fabric and you will never see beautiful women being out of your range.

Yes, the site is only for viewing not introductions.  Many of the models are from Colombia, most in Cali and not all are professional models, some are girls I met in Colombia..just normal college girls.  Some are just friends.  While it may not be easy to land one of these type of girls its not impossible.

I'm glad you like the site...

Pacino,
Thanks for your response.  I have a followup question.  It is obvious that men like to look at beautiful women.  But, in the case of the girls on your website; what do they get out of it?  I am not trying to pry into your business affairs.  I don't know what kind of money the girls make posing for your website, but I can't imagine they are making the money that say the models for Victoria's Secret make.  So, are they aspiring "big time" models?  Do they view this as an opportunity to get "discovered"?  Again, I am just curious.  I will say that in my opinion, they are every bit as beautiful and sexy as what you see on TV or the magazines, etc.  Any how, best of luck.

OkieMan,
I first started using models to promote my Dvd store in Cali, if you go to my website at www.lazonadvdplanet.com you will find a free section with models wearing my La Zona shirts.  Now I've expanded it to a site where I can show the beauty of the latin women. For me it's a hobby, I love taking photos and I know alot of girls so I thought it would be a perfect fit.  You would be surprised how many men in this world want to view photos.  Especially original material.  If one of my models gets discovered that's great but with so many visa requirements it's difficult to bring a model to do a job in the United States.  So they are limited in what they can do.  You are right any one of these girls could be on the cover of FHM or Maxim. Colombia and South America have so many beautiful women that don't get the exposure.  Hope that answers your questions...

Thanks for the additional info.  So you live full time in Cali?  I had no idea about your DVD store.  I am curious.  Are all DVDs on the same system.  In other words, will the ones you have work on my DVD player, or vise versa?  Do most people in Cali and the rest of Colombia own DVD players; or is it still fairly rare?  Since I have only been to Cali once, I am still learning about that sort of thing.  Well, best of luck.

90% of my dvd's are imported from the United States. They are the same one's as you would buy in any store in the USA.  Original Zone 1 DVD'S, which will work on any dvd machine from the USA.  In Colombia and South American they are working with Zone 4 DVD'S which will not work in American dvd machines.  But in Colombia they sell what they call multi zone dvd machines. Which will play both Zone 1 and Zone 4 so basically they can view any DVD from around the world with a multi zone machine.  Most Colombian households have these multi zone machines.  The great thing about it is I have the new release movies 2 to 3 weeks before they are released in the United States stores.  For example Shark Tale which was released today in the United States, I had in Colombia more than 2 weeks ago so it's great for the Colombians because they have it first. They love big budget American films.  I opened my business almost 3 years ago, I was the 2nd dvd store in Cali, now there are over 100 dvd stores in Cali.  Since I am the first to have the new releases in Colombia, most of my competitors buy the new releases from me. So not only do I rent movies but a big part of my business is retail.

Sounds like a deal.  I enjoy learning how "the other half lives", so to speak.  Unfortunately, in the States, it is easy to think that the entire universe revolves around the US.  I am proud to be an american, etc; but I am not stupid enough to think that everything revolves around us.  I was fortunate to travel in Europe quite abit, when I was a younger man.  So, I got experience some of their differences.  Now, I am trying to learn about LA, and Colombia in particular; especially, if I end up marrying a latina someday!

Nice web site.

You are right about the visa situation. If anybody ever figures out how to get these girls out of Colombia they will be a millionare. Personally I think the best career move a caleņa could make would be to hook up with a gringo and move to the states. Models here make so much more money and there is a big demand for latin models in the south west.

I was surprised at how much money my ex-caleņa wife made modeling right here in Phoenix Arizona. She has a web site but I can't post it here because there is nudity on it.

Anyway I'm going to be in Cali the 10th of March. I going to enroll in a university in Cali just so I can get a student visa and then a cedula extranjeria. I will also be shooting some models for a project (mostly black and white film).

If it's alright I look you up when I'm in Cali. You have one model on your web site that I would love to shoot "Alejandra". I first saw her on caliescali and she just looks great in black and white.

I don't have any magic solutions here but I have
been working on a concept called "Model's Visa",
essentially a work visa for a model geared for Latinas.

Not easy, but many good ideas never started
out as easy.

Here is the Spanish Website.

English:
http://www.usaimmigrationattorney.com/modelsvisa.html

Pacino and Traveler, if you can, please
send me private e-mail if you want to
discuss.

Many thanks!

granting of visas for "fashion models".  I saw this when I was looking at the visa waiver program for my ex-novia who is an Italian citizen.  I did not delve into the details of the provision and do not know if it applies to models from other countries besides those in the visa waiver program.   I assume it would but maybe Gary Bala could provide some info or just do a Google search and I'm sure you'll find it.  I believe it would be considered some type of work visa and not just a tourist visa

anyway, my advice is not free and I would expect a percentage from anyone here who makes millions off of Colombian thong models.  A percentage of money or women is acceptable.

heck, I should just do that myself.
