Traditionaly, it is the 2nd Saturday of September. But most people get paid on the 15th and many might have a bad case of the 'couple of days until payday shorts' so the merchants (in order to sell more flowers and perfume etc) have been trying to get it changed to the 3rd Saturday. I asked my fiance about the controversy over the date and she said that was correct and that now defacto they have a week (starting on the 2nd Saturday) of amor y amistad instead of a single day and that any day during that week is now considered appropriate to give a gift. So, you're not too late, order up some nice flowers for your lady. |
