Title: Finally Post by: Michael B on July 23, 2003, 04:00:00 AM Finally, after 182 days, the Texas ‘Service’ Center has approved my K-1 visa petition. Around 10:00 AM this morning they posted on their website that they approved it yesterday. Yeah! I called Martha at 10:30 and told her, I think she is still screaming. Now, all we have to do is hope that National Visa Center, the name check people, the embassy and what ever other obstacles and red tape the government thinks up between now and when she arrives don’t take as long as the first part, but from reports by people on some other boards I’ve been on, looks like they manage to get all of that taken care of in about a month once the petition is approved (unless the woman is from FSU or China, people say those are taking 6 to 8 months for the security clearance).

God knows this process takes perserverance so at least this major step is behind you and Martha. She must have also been happy yesterday because, as it worked out, the flowers you ordered a few days ago were also delivered to her yesterday. Take care and it is good to hear the news.
