Title: Requirements,Colombian to Mary in Colombia
Post by: elcolombiano on July 07, 2003, 04:00:00 AM
I want to mary a Colombian citizen in Colombia. I was born in Colombia.

Since I was born in Colombia to Colombian parents, Colombia recognizes me as a Colombian citizen. I do not need a marriage visa for Colombia. I would like to know what I do need in order to get married in Colombia. In a addition to my birth certificate and a Certificate of Bachlerhood do I need a Cedula?

Does anyone know how long a K-3 VISA is taking now days for the California?

Your local consulate can provide your cedula and passport (for a fee of course).  I would think that you'd need the cedula for civil marriage, otherwise you "do not exist" in Colombia and couldn't get anything processed.
