Post by: iznardo on June 26, 2003, 04:00:00 AM
I'm taking my family to Bogota in a couple of months. Does anyone know a guide or cab driver that speaks english.

He'll hook you up, in more ways than one. You knew that already though didn't you?

If you are happily married to a woman who is from there, why are you in need of an English-speaking driver/guide?

I don't understand your question. Are you implying that because I'm not happily married that's the reason I'm looking for a driver/guide who speaks english? Or maybe you think I'm really houndog? What is your problem? I would suggest you get a life and stop interpreting everything in a cynical devious way. There are some people like myself who traveled to Colombia and met a woman and fell in love and got married and continued their normal life rather than making a career out of it.

The same thing occured to me Ferris. Seeing the guy has been married two years to a calena, is brand new on the site, and needs a translator. I didn't want to insinuate that he just exited from under a bridge. But as snap says things are getting quiet. It must be time for those medieval evil things to come out again. Welcome to Hogworts

Being more direct about it, this is the same alias Houndog used to get his foot in the door last time with his, "Hey, anyone heard from Houndog?" post, quickly responded to by one "Cartagena", and you know the rest of the story. I'm surprised Patrick didn't delete this handle when he swept up that mess.

Sorry, but sophisticated white collar people don't write like this (quoting "iznardo's" profile):

"I am a financial advisor who lives in California. Who divorced his wife of 13 years in 1999. I decided I wanted a Latin wife and went to Colombia and found one.Presently We are very happy."

Notice, too, the third person reference ("who lives in CA...who divorced his wife"). Not even half clever, Houndog!

I don't understand what is wrong with my profile. I tried to be concise with the profile. My wife of thirteen years divorced me and I did not want to be alone so I was interested in meeting a latin women. I did many of the things that gentlemen on this site are doing to meet a latin woman and I traveled to Colombia six times in ten months. My wife spent the majority of her adult life in Bucaramanga so her knowledge of Bogota is mediocre at best. When I was involved in meeting my wife I used to go to this site to get knowledge about Colombia and the whole procedure. This was when houndog was doing his tirades. I found him very amusing. So that is why I ask the original question where he was. I am a financial adviser and been one for over twenty years in fact I manage an office of of financial advisers. So lets drop this nonsense and accusations and act like gentlemen.

If you are a HD fan, you would know that he and many others here would pounce on anyone that was "new" and did not have a "real" email address. If you have been coming to this site for that long, it is strange that your profile says just 5 posts.

Let's see, 4 in this thread and your very first post asking where is hound dog. That was immediately followed by posts from
Cartegena/Houndog.

You asked where he was. Then when he shows up,and does one of his "tirades",  you had nothing to say to him? A bit odd, don't you think?

It's also a little funny that after more than twenty years as a financial advisor, you haven't settled on a preferred way of spelling it: in your profile you're an "advisor", but in your post above you're an "adviser" supervising other "advisers". How many times have you typed that word out in over twenty years, and yet your fingers don't just automatically type it a certain way by now, kind of like your name?

Iznardo will dissapear. In a few days there will be a docter, that supervises other docters,;-) talks about himself in the 3rd person and then touts a new "portal" from HD.

His portal should be interesting. he whined both times he got booted from LWL about censorship etc. We'll see if he does a better job, without deleting posts etc etc etc.

He'll bash me and my novia, spelling my name ralp, then after I
make him look stupid again, born again JunFan will crawl out of hiding to threaten me, and post photos to prove just how tough he is;-)

This place has actually been improving greatly. Posts about Argentina. People talking about moving to mexico and not getting trashed. Mentions of Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama etc.

No more daily "troll fights", less silly flame wars etc.
