That is a very interesting article. I notice in your list of favorite one-liners that they were not aggressive. "So many curves..." was one that I like and hope to use some time. Hi Georgina, Hope you are doing well. Carmen says she gets alot of those here, but never got them in Peru. She says down there she is just another cholita, lol. Here she can't go anywhere without hearing it. She told me of a few things that Peruvian men say (or do) to women in public that would put a man in jail here. But I know that's not what you're talking about. I doubt it Carmen never got one. Every woman in Peru gets them. The nice ones and the other ones. The article, mostly refers to the good ones. But it is true, some men can say really nasty things.I remember a friend of mine was walking on the street eating an ice cream and a man told her "I wish I were the ice cream you are eating" and my friend throw the ice cream to a garbage can near by. I guess, she told him with actions what she thought of him and his piropo. |
