Petty criminals kidnapped the niece of one of 'em with hope to cash in on the kitty. She was freed when they realized this impoverished gal was not going to yield anything. So just the rumor of money targets your family for kidnap, regardless how poor you are.

That reminds me of the Serial Murder of the Cancun beaches that targeted females tourists/locals and killed a couple of their boyfriends . It's a jungle out there! C |
