You did what many gringos only dream about.
But you actually did it, hats off , good job.

Your ex is a 10.
I have been doing this for about 6 years, and there is usually about 1 or 2 girls a year that get in agency , who look like that, I always wondered who got them.  Not me, or any of my friends, but some gringo always got them aftrer a few months.

How did you meet your ex wife, and how was the process of romancing her and getting her here like?  short re-cap thanks.

I met wife first caleña wife at Latin-Internet. She lived in the south of Cali and not far from ciudad jardin. At the time Latin-Internet had just opened up for business and not many guys new about it. I was the first american she had ever met at the agency and the last.

Her home life wasn't the greatest and I knew she was going somewhere and I decided it would be with me. I met her at the end of one of my trips to Cali so we didn't get to spend that much time together. I returned about a month later and spent a little over two weeks with her. We spent a few days in Cartagena. I bought her a laptop and I gave her and engagement ring while I was there and also a credit card in her name.

We met at the end of October and I waited until Dec. 7th so she would be 21 before I sent in the K-1 paperwork. We keep in contact daily by phone and e-mail and the next time a saw her in person was in bogota for her interview. We only spent 5 days in Bogota together because I had to go to work. the paperwork went through without a hitch and she was here in the states in May.

Really hot women that are motivated and a member of a marriage agency do not last long. They can be gone in as little as a couple weeks. It is all a timeing thing. If you are there at the right time you can meet them and you have to act fast so somebody else doesn't get them first.

So how long was it any good before she decided to  trade in her old gringo?Was it worth it?It seems the answer is yes,you still seem proud of having had her.
Maybe thats not exactly what happened but thats the risk and since you did split assume it was something along that line.
Would you do it the same way again,knowing its probably a temporary deal?

Sure I would do it all over again if I was in the same situation. Life is short. Enjoy it while you can. At the time there wasn't a women that I liked more or that I wanted more than her. Our relationship only lasted 3 years but it really was an overall very good experiance. Intimate relationships with Caleñas can be much more satisfying than with american women in general. I have to admit that I don't think going back to relationships with american women is a real option for me at this point in my life.

My last wife wasn't that different from CaliPro's ex.  My post to you was just to say that anyone who would look those pictures and say "she's nothing to brag about" is either blind or shooting his mouth off.

You can say she looks like trouble.  Believable.  You can say you're not interested in women that look like "bimbos".  Believable.  But if you say "she's nothing to brag about" you're just taking a jab at CaliPro.  The girl is hot.  She may be trouble, but she's hot.  If she's not hot then Paola Rey's not hot.  

"She's nothing to brag about."  Sounds like something a cocky teenager would say.

From the photos, my instincts tell me that she lacks scruple; therefore, since she lacks scruple (as I am assuming), she's nothing to brag about.

With regards to physical characteristics, you and I both know there are plenty of Calenas that are way better looking than her. Take away her make up, and take out the plastic, she's plain. I bet many Colombian men wouldn't be too excited.

Actually, most of the agency women don't rank too high with regards to physical beauty as some of the other women do who are outside of the agencies, but there are some exceptions, and it usually takes a long time to find such a woman in an agency.

Na Na Na, my instincts are totally telling me that she's an opportunist. Actually, from the photos, I'm inclined to think CaliPro was actually the victum !!!! For real !!!!

My instincts tell me that this girl probably is an attention seeker, and had (or still has) her eyes out for any gringo that can offer "a little better," even if she was (or is) married.

From the photos, she looks like a bimbo. But, that's based on my taste of the kinds of women I like. I don't like bimbo looking women, but some men do.

CaliPro, if these are the kinds of ladies you like, then you'll always have problems. You may have some quick fun, but it wont last, and when you're in your 50s to 60s you better be a millionaire to pay for the azz because girls like that are only going to stick around guys with mucha plata, sin corazon.

If Colombia only had available women like this woman in his photos, then give me a "goo' ole" American woman any day of the week.

Maybe you don't need to be a millionare.Calipro has pointed out the huge value in it for a girl to be able to come here.If you can do that for them they gained tremendously.
The question is how long to you get any benefit out of it.And there are liabilities and limitations.How many women can you sponsor with an affidavid of support?I think they want to see like $13,000 income per affidavid,so if you make $100,000 you could do 7? And they could bite you on the ass although its hard to see this kind of chick not being able to take care of herself.
Its a deal.I sponsor you,I get your hot body for a while,you leave and better yourself.The question is how long the literal screwing lasts before the figurative type kicks in.
Maybe the better bet is just to stay in Colombia and play around.But would this type of chick be interested in you if you wouldn't marry her and bring her here?Would she go for it for some diners,intertainment and some clothes?Some would.This caliber I don't know.
I know the thinkng here is different than just wanting a good wife.But having had my good intentions trampled upon Calipro's ideas are starting to look attractive.

I'm going to have to defend CaliPro on this one........or his ex-wife..........there is NO WAY anyone can look at a woman's picture and tell if she's an opportunist, attention seeker, bimbo, or whatever..........The only thing I see is a beautiful woman, regardless of the plastic.......I don't think beautiful women necessarily cause problems either.  Aaron, beauty is a huge part of the culture in Cali......I haven't done a study, but I would make a huge wager that Cali has more plastic surgeons per capita than any other city in South America, or maybe many cities in the U.S.  Just pick up a copy of "Imagine" magazine, or a similar publication in Cali & you'll see the ads.  Plastic surgery is more common than you think.............and ask any poor or lower class Calena if they would like a boob or nose job........I think the majority would say yes.  I think as the beautiful women get older, they will stick by their men......they do it in Cali........but it does take a special man, and these women are used to be pampered..............but let's cut the generalizations.

I'm not sure who you are, what you are...........what level of success that you've had in your personal or professional life, but you need to be careful in your name calling.
I've followed many of your posts since I've logged on to this forum, and have found the majority to be very immature, excessively over-reactive, resorting to name calling, when an intelligent response would be in order. You are the type of person who thinks he knows everything, a charlatan so to speak.  I may be naive about some things, for example, why someone would become a professional student, but if you read my profile, I am hardly naive about the latin culture, or Colombia.  You've made a handful of trips to Colombia, so everyone else is naive???
It's easy to hide behind a key board and provoke people.  I would suggest that you refrain from posting, unless it is something constructive...........
If you would ever like to have an intelligent conversation in spanish, or teach me something about the latin culture, send me your phone # & we'll talk. I'll also fill you in on my successes, educational background, business experience, etc., etc.  No Aaron, you'll find I'm not a clown, nor naive.

In your response to me above, you've been tootting you're own horn, and you seemed upset. Is it because you didn't understand the context of my EL SEGUNDO O EL TERCERO post, which is an honest mistake that any reader could make, but didn't like it when you were corrected?

I called you a clown because you seemed like such a smart azz, referring to a "possible mistake" you thought I made when referring to the feminine and masculine genders. Do you understand? And sure, you may be able to speak fluent Spanish, speak way better than me. Lately, my Spanish skills have been slipping because I have been finishing other responsibilities, all in English.

However, self-proclaimed expert, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Since you claim to be an expert, I read your profile, which you made reference. I've copied it below.

It takes a special man to marry and keep a beautiful young woman. If she is high maintnace it takes a real special man:)I wonder how much of these pampered ladies who do stick by their men remain faithful.
 Just because she stays does'nt mean she neccesarily is in love with her husband.I know a young guy who is having an affair with a Brazilian woman at present. Her husband is much older. She will never leave her husband because the guy she is having an affair with has no money!She spends her husbands money on her "boyfriend". Many women just love the perks of being married to a man who provides for her every needs,but are not "in love".
    Calipro had said his ex(the sexy girl in the picture) married a plastic surgeon when she divorced him.That man will probably be able to support her in a lifestyle she is craving. So most likely,she will stay with husband #2 even if she falls out of love.
  That is one reason I looked for a woman who was low maintnance in my search. My girl is naturally gorgeous(but does not know it). She gets her nails done and that's it. She was blessed with shiny long thick black hair,Olive skin,a gorgeous face,and a body that boast full C cup breast on a 5'1" Filipina:)
  But she works hard for her money,works hard to cook and clean when I am around.She would rather be taken to a simple restaurant rather than a fancy one.She rarely wears anything more than lipstick.She also makes me laugh because she is sooooo funny. Her priorities are for us to save enough money to buy our dream home to raise a family.
   AM have to remember they will be bringing their foreign wives to live here in the U.S.A. So  you may have your pick when you go over there. But if you do not choose wisely,you will have a woman who will try to upgrade as soon as she realizes she can do better. The younger she is,the more likely she will do that.
  For a lot of men, it is famine in the U.S. But when they travel they actually begin to get pickier than ever because there are many gorgeous women willing to give them attention.
  Well, the attractive women who were starving for a good man back in their country will also soon have an abundance of men  who pay attention to them once they move to the U.S.
  Plenty of guys who sponsered gorgeous young women have found out that they went through all of that trouble for some other man to enjoy the woman he thought was his soulmate.

This was the ex wife before the most recent one,or are they 2 and the same?I remember you saying your ex went in to modeling in the US and these appear to be modeling shots.
If you go for this type of woman you are asking for big trouble in my opinion.Even if you are Mr hot yourself the 2 egos probably can not coincide.
So go for the hottie if you like.Enjoy it while it lasts,knowing it will not.Protect yourself for the impending split.The type of thinking of chasing the hottest broad will not net you a good one I don't think.I could tell from your other picture posts that any relationship you did find would probably be temporary.
If you are clever at this you might be able to get one hottie after another and limit the damage it does to you personally and financially.If you could keep it from costing everything you have you could sponsor one hottie after another.They get to come here,you get temporary privileges.
Not the way to find a good wife,but to each his own.I went about it more conventionally and screwed up also.
