Title: Question about my K3 Post by: Kreeger on September 25, 2003, 04:00:00 AM My wife's interview is tomorrow (Sept 26) and I am just wondering how long it usually takes for her to receive the visa (stamp on the passport) after that. I have reserved a trip to travel there to get her during the last week in Oct., but have not purchased the tickets yet. I'm hoping she will receive the visa in time... any thoughts?

She arrived at 5am, stood in line for 5 hours(!) and was interview by a 2 people... an American woman and a Filipino man. She was asked when and how we met, where I worked and for how long, and what my birthday is. Then they asked for my W-2 forms... 3 consecutive years. After all of that, she was approved and was told it would be 5-7 days before her visa arrived (to Bislig). Title: Re: Addendum: VISA APPROVED! it will take about 2 wks for her to recieve the visa (laminated in her paasport)...this is the same with my wife she waited for 2 wks before she recieved her K3 visa. you know what though..the US consul did not interview my wife, they just called her on the phone and ask 2 questions and that was it ( i guess that was the interview part..). purchased the ticket after she gets the K3 visa. It took Sallie about three weeks after the interview to get her visa but that was last December. Good luck it won't be long now! Title: Thanks, Hum... N/T Post by: Kreeger on September 26, 2003, 04:00:00 AM |
