Hi Eric, You said you have been lurking since the forum was created (1998)? Holy Mackerel! That must be some kind of record for the longest lurk :-) You said you wish to travel to Cebu. Why Cebu? Do you have a plan yet? Any pen pals over there? It doesn’t take courage to take off for the Philippines (unless you’re going to Basilin or Jolo). It just takes a week or two and enough money to get you there and back. It’s a great vacation spot and after you pay for the airfare it’s one of the cheapest too. Anybody else out there who has been lurking that long? Maybe it’s time to come out and say howdy... Eric, I made my first trip alone to the Philippines when I was 22 years old. You can do it. Believe me it is worth it. For me the 2 hardest parts are 1.) the Heat and 2.) Getting from the airport to your hotel the first time without getting ripped off. Of course now it's a breeze. Just look at Ken's site. See how happy and lucky he is? That could be you.... just with a different gal....LOL Ken, all differences aside.
