I was online tonight, and a Filipina started chatting with me, I think
she was looking for a different Don. Just thought I would post this
conversation with an obvious scammer.  I have removed her last name,
and other info.  I hope she has not scammed anyone  here.
If so, write to me, and I can confirm info.
BTW, this is very, very long, and I decided to play along, and see
what she would say

Hi Don, I think I may have chatted with that person also. When she asked for money to finish school during our first conversation I suggested she chat with someone else. The reaction at that point was interesting...needless to say I have not chatted with her since.

We chatted for about 5 minutes (the first contact) and she asked if I could send her money for her last term at college. I replied that I did not know her from Adam and that she should chat with someone else and ask them for money. She and some of her friends began to send instant messages that I was a "dumb American" and that Filipinas were much smarter than me, etc...very strange. I let it go at that.

Guys need to understand that sometimes the Filipina that you are writing to and/or chatting with could quite possibly be someone else. That cute 21 year old Filipina that you are writing to could quite possibly be some 45 year old guy in Manila that is posting photos of hotties so he can scam you into sending him money every month.
IMHO, never, ever send money to someone that you have never met. And, even after you have met, only send a small amount of money to someone that you have a true relationship with.
Guys need to realize that these women were able to survive
long before we came along, and they can survive without our help.  There are a million sob stories out there, and there is no reason to be the fool and fall for them.
A good woman, that truly cares for you, is going to be too ashamed to even think about asking you for financial help.

Don, that must be the most sensible thing I've read here.  I absolutely agree with you.  
Actually, what you described about the 45 yr old man....that's one of my husband's "crazy retirement in the Philippines business ideas"  There are just too many men sending money to women they just met online, he thinks anyone can make a profitable business out of it.

I sure hope also that she has not scammed anyone here.She is very good.She had me at "hello".If I was a single guy looking for a woman I might have been scammed too.She is that smooth.Dang, watch out for those red flags boys!
