---------- ZAMBOANGA -- Two of the six Filipino Christians kidnapped earlier this week by Abu Sayyaf guerrillas have been beheaded, an army commander said Thursday. The severed heads of the abducted men were found dumped in Jolo island, Brigadier General Romeo Tolentino said. Tolentino, military chief of Jolo island, said a note was included with one of the heads, saying "those who do not believe in Allah will suffer the same fate." One severed head was found dumped near the army headquarters in Jolo town late Wednesday while the second head was found wrapped in plastic near the public market on Thursday, he said. The two men were among six followers of the Jehovah's Witnesses Christian sect seized by the Abu Sayyaf in Patikul town in Jolo on Tuesday while selling cosmetics and personal care products. Two Moros initially seized with the group were freed by the Abu Sayyaf, a group notorious for kidnapping and attacking Christians and foreigners. (AFP) Title: A Big Mistake... Hi Ray, Now the Jehovah's Witnesses will continue to harass and try to convert the Abu Sayyaf until they go out of their minds and kill themselves. :o))) Who knows...they may end up together again in the after life. That’s an interesting thought Dave. Maybe that’s why the other guys got their heads lopped off, because they were driving the Abu’s nuts. How can you slam the door in their face when they’re your hostages? I believe that the Jehova’s Witnesses are more enterprising in the Phils than they are here. I heard that this bunch was selling Avon products door-to-door along with their “witnessing”. Why not kill two birds with one stone? Their big mistake was ignoring that “NO PEDDLERS” sign on Abu’s front door. Ray Title: Re: There they go again... Of course they would kidnap again, so long as there are any of the ASG remaining. The authorities are slow to come to the obvious conclusion that a few victories over this group does not mean they are finished ( as GMA said ). Of course, they must be chased relentlessly until most of the ASG are dead and it is obvious that being a member is a death warrant. Nathan |
