Title: Set Back Post by: The Mog returns on May 28, 2002, 04:00:00 AM Jicelle got a letter from the Embassy. Looks like they want her to come in for an interview.
On a K-1! IM SO TIRED OF THIS. "adminstrative review". They want her to bring copies of my certificate of naturalization, (US) passport, copies of NOA, and letter stating how we met. The letter and copies of NOA's were in the packet she gave to St. Lukes and she said they took everything. Hopefully this is a minor setback. This bites. They also want a copy of the K-1 that I submitted. I never made a stupid copy. Now why the heck if I have approval do they need to see the copy of the orginal petition, and why cant they get it from the NSC? Guess I will have to try to call the NSC and see if they will fax the Manila Embassy a copy of it. Im ready to give up. Hang tough Mog, Any luck calling the NSC? At least this set back may motivate others to make a copy of the entire package before sending it off. Jim Title: Re: Calling NSC Post by: The Mog returns on May 28, 2002, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Calling NSC, posted by Jimbo on May 28, 2002
No luck getting to talk to a real person today at the NSC, I did get through but stayed on hold for 20 minutes and ten minutes while my cell long distance charges racked up for nothing. I did sit iin line for 4 hours at the Bloomington INS office to get to talk to an INS officer, I asked her to call Nebraska and even she got an answering machine on her special number. She couldnt understand that after approval the NSC forwards the petition to Manila Consulate, why would they be requesting a copy of the petition from me. Im going to send the copy of my certificate of naturalization and US passport, copies of approval notice (AGAIN), MORE photos of us together (I already had sent them 6 in our St Lukes packet), and ANOTHER letter stating how we met, as they requested, and in place of a copy of the 1-29 form I will send a letter stating that since I didnt make a copy, that one does not exist. More to come. Guess good help is hard to find all over, and the Manila Embassy is no exception. Title: Minor Set Back... Hey Mog, I know it bites!!! But, this should just be a minor setback. I wouldn't be surprised if this has to do with your recent naturalization. Hang in there! Keep pushing a little harder for what you want! Good Luck!!! Dave H. |
