Title: Match made in Heaven?
Post by: Michael B on June 07, 2005, 04:00:00 AM
Remember Senator Maria Cantwell (D-Washington)? Perhaps this will refresh your memory, she's the one who wants to place all kinds of restrictions on US citizens' use of foreign introduction services.

Anyway, it appears she is about to be out done by  Russian Duma deputy Nikolai Kuryanovich, a member of LDPR party. He is actually drafting a bill which will strip Russian women of their citizenship and exile them if they marry a foreigner.

What a pair they would make, no?

These laws will save you from yourself! Welcome them!

They hardly go far enough. I propose a $100,000 fine on anyone who e-mails, writes via postal service, or communicates (even with smoke signals) with these fallen creatures, per offense.

Thanks for sharing.  I don't see Kuranovich's bill getting passed but its amazing someone in government would even propose such a thing.
