Title: Do they have Playstations in Ukraine?
Post by: Frank O on June 29, 2004, 04:00:00 AM
I was thinking of buying one to take on my next trip as a gift to my little brother in law & sister in law. Are those available over there? Are the directions in Russian?!

If you buy a PS here, you will need to get it modified to play games bought there, plus convert the plug.  Maybe it is easier to buy one there?

I've seen video game consoles for sale int metrograd mall in Kyiv.
I don't really remember what type but PS was probably one of
them.  i wouldn't try to buy one here and take over given different
power and tv requirements.  I'd buy one there

Gman's right. I saw a playstation at the underground mall while in Kiev in Feb of this year. I think I also games being sold on the streets. He is right about power requirments and T.Vs, but more importantly, Video game systems are programed differntly for differant parts of the world. Ie, a game that you bought here in the states would more than likley not play on a playstation that was sold in the Ukraine, and vica-versa. I would suggest that you go to Sony's home web site and I bet you can get all your questions answerd.Good Luck!Ray.
