Title: Good Summer Rates Usa To Moscow...
Post by: RickM on May 20, 2004, 04:00:00 AM
Wow!
Just ran a few searches from Boston to Moscow and couldn/t find anything under a thousand...
That's "doubled" from a month ago...
I guess the height of travel season has started.

Anyone aware of any cheap summer flights to Moscow?
Isn't there a place online you can "bid" a low rate if you have a little flexability?

Thanks all...

Usually when I go I fly to NY (from Florida) on JetBlue, and then take Aeroflot out of JFK to Moscow. I have found that to be the cheapest way to go, and Aeroflot flies Boeing 767 jets.

Another tip: you won't find as good bargain rates on the Internet as you can with a Russian travel agent in this country. My wife and several of her friends have purchased tickets from Russia House in Miami, and taken Lifthansa or Swiss Air from here to Moscow or Ukraine. For some reason, the Russians have pretty good deals for going to that part of the world.

Early second week of June departure and return late third week of June $648 taxes and whatever other fees included.  I bought it from Russian National group on Aeroflot.  My visa was an additional $150.
I bought the ticket two months ago.

The simple fact is all planes are full. If not just now the airlines all know they have balanced capacity with demand. So by the time the plane flies all seats will be full.

So the airlines can afford to keep pushing the rates up.

All of us who have been flying recently have noticed a lack of empty seats.

The only answer is to be creative on the routes. Use all the smaller airports and the planes still have capacity in the system left.

I think ALL airlines & travel to ANYWHERE is up in general thanks to the oil scam the Arabs are running. Continental, which is the airline I use (KLM) to travel to Kiev, just announced yesterday or the day before an increase in fairs.

Trying to get a flight overseas right now for summer is exceptionally hard.

I've been told this by several reservation agents.

Simple supply and demand.

they could easily lean on the oil producers....
what a crock!
they say we'll be paying what they pay in europe soon! the only problem with that is we don't have the option of mass transit like euro countries do. bend over cause here it comes...

If we would only classify SUV's and pickup trucks as "trucks" and not let them drive in the left hand lane and raised the price of gas to say 5 dollars a gallon, maybe people would not buy gas guzzlers anymore.  Maybe we would finally move to alternative fuel sources and let the f$cking arabs drink their fooking black sh*t.
