Title: AOS Post by: Stan on November 30, 2003, 05:00:00 AM Hey guys,
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving,,, I know we did. Question about filing "Petition to remove the Conditions on Residence". Has anyone done this lately? What are the "Current" fees? And any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Steve & Tanya Title: Re: AOS Post by: Ramblin on December 04, 2003, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to AOS, posted by Stan on Nov 30, 2003
Howdy discussion group, long time no see. No see on the green card either. We married in January and interviewed in August. Has anyone received an AOS green card recently? Anyone know how to get one from a federal judge? Kind of messes up a few things without one, you know like authorization to work and travel. Title: Passport should be stamped.. Take a look... "551 approved". This allows SSA to issue A Social Security account. Not sure about any new advanced parole requirements right now. Karl Title: Re: AOS Post by: Stan on November 30, 2003, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to AOS, posted by Stan on Nov 30, 2003

We filed here (TSC) in mid-November of last year. Still haven't seen the new card. You'll get a letter of extension (1 year) ours ends on Jan 21. When I called this wk, the rep said wait a little longer..so be sure to keep that cancelled check. ;) Karl Title: Re: Prepare for a long wait.. What's the story on gals who get married within the 90-day period and then wait for aos? Their fiancee visas elapse after 90 days, so do they then enter some kind of grey visa area until aos comes someday? Should they be careful of certain things during this time because of their status (whatever that status is)? Title: 751 petitions.. Are adjustments of status so to speak..removal of conditions. Usually though, not referred to as "AOS"...but "751". The first AOS is good for 2 years, then it must be renewed. We're gettin' ready to file our "751". Coming up on our 2 year aniversary of our "AOS" we filed in Milwaukee after we got married in August of 01'. Just trying to chase down 2 neighbors to sign a statement saying we've got a "good" marraige. It's on their list of things to send in with the package.
