Title: the latin board and dead link Post by: cherokee on September 24, 2003, 04:00:00 AM since its been so boring here lately. i wondered over to the latin board....those guys are alot more fun there...seems like they don't rip each other like here...at least not as much. they dont seem to get offended easily like here either. anywho, just thought I'd post something here, since nothing is happening.

When I was heading to Brazil, I posted on the Latin board for awhile. Less activity over all, but I agree with you... a lot less of the senseless flaming, too. Ironically, considering that Patrick owns a Latin agency, and moderates this board... the agencies were dealt with much more fair on the Latin board than here... Less rabid attacks... less constant promotion... certainly Patrick never created a fake identity to promote his agency. Heck, I had to ask what his agency was, he keeps such a low profile... But, even though the activity level is lower, the Latin board is not without its intrigue, though... I remember a guy named Hilton who had this elaborate story... was suposedly in Colombia posting, and someone busted him based on his local ISP.... It was fun stuff. Of course, this board probably takes the cake with false identities and the like, but the "Hilton Man of Mystery" saga was very entertaining... Well, speaking for the Latin board. We don't have anyone on the Latin board that can rip you a new one as effectively as LP can, but we certainly have had our share of people that like to tear into each other. We are enjoying a time of relative calm on the board right now but it usually doesn't last too long. I am sure things will liven up again any day now. ...I've been over there a few times because I had this young hottie from Columbia (but lives in Texas) that was hitting on me but it's been awhile. (Based on dealing with her I gotta say those Latin guys might be on to something, she was sweeter than any Russka I'd ever met.) Perhaps the gentleman also peruses this board and was simply paying me a compliment. Uh, at least I *think* it was a compliment... |
