Title: how to buy wholesale addresses??
Post by: genoramix on September 25, 2003, 04:00:00 AM
Hi all,

Actually when coming back from russia this time i decided to start my own marriage agency.(no jack i won't make concurrence to your business since it would be switzerland oriented:)).
This because i'm a student and if i cannot make this business "work" i won't be able to make it again to russia for another 2 years. Moreover i wish to live in Russia for a few years(no LP, i'm not desperate, i just love the country:)) and if i have a business there to support a programming job with a russian salary it would be great(if not mandatory)!!

Anyway..i have almost finished coding the website, i'm almost done with the design, but now i miss the profiles!! And i was wondering if buying adresses to the angelika network would be a good start...But i cannot find anywhere their conditions for agency owners!

Anyone has some ideas where to look at? or a hint about the prices/conditions?
As well if there another angelika -like type of thing(btw i'm willing to focus on the volgograd region) i'd be glad to know.

thx for the input

Patrick

If you buy addresses wholesale you will have a bunch of addresses you do not have control of. If some of those turn sour or defunked, your agency will be 'blamed'. Perhaps you could build a relathionship with some of your russian contacts, and have them create an agency to collect profiles. Or if lacking contacts, what about emailing existing legit Russian based agencies, and partnering with them?

A big problem I see if it does not matter how many profiles you have, if word spreads that you have 'bad' profiles, few will sell. You need to have some control and ownership of whatprofiles you post. A good website is a nice start, but reputation, and quality is just as important. Do not forget to build those aspects up as good as you have the website.

Just my thoughts.
