Title: MIL - Just got her visa approved Post by: Stevo on August 01, 2003, 04:00:00 AM My MIL just received a visa to visit us. She didn't even go in for an interview. We we're quite surprised about that. She sent her paperwork into the Moscow embassy via the FedEx system and received her visa in the mail. I thought for sure that she'd be asked to come in for an interview. I guess being 65 makes all the difference. BTW, she doesn't have anyone/anything keeping her in Russia (except me!).

My M.I.L. was also given a visa on Thursday. We heard all kinds of stories, the last news we heard just last week was that all applicants were to go for interview. My M.I.L. told us she was nervous because she recieved a phone call from the embassy telling her to stay home in the afternoon and they will courier her passport, not telling anything about the visa. She was very suprised to have the visa, it took less than 2 weeks after she submitted her papers to the Moscow E.L.F. office. |
