Title: New Postal Rates
Post by: Ray on January 13, 2002, 05:00:00 AM
Just a reminder that the postal rates to the Phils changed on Jan 7th. Now it costs $.80 for the first ounce and $.75 for each additional ounce.

The old rate was $.60 for the first ˝ ounce and $.40 for each additional half ounce, so I guess the “good” news is that the rate per ounce went down??

I also see that it now costs P20 for a letter from the Phils to the US?

Larry,

Really? Maybe you can write off the excess postage as a charitable contribution? :-)

Standard first class letter, less than 1 ounce. It USED to be 60 cents, but it went up in august 99. Everything seems to double in cost here. In July I sent a 4 lb package (Interveiw paperwork) to Cebu, cost me $117 UPS, Fedex wanted $144. Larry.
