Of course, my comments below were tacky.  But having met Dan and his wife while in Kiev.  I found them to be a nice couple and lord knows why his marriage is on the rocks.

Lets see they've been married about 2 years now, the dog died and wasn't she expecting.  Could something have gone terribly wrong.  I would speculate his wife probably misses her family during this most challenging time.  From reading Dan's post he's a traveling business man or a FBI/CIA agent living in one city and traveling to another for his work schedule, who knows.  Maybe she'd like him around more often...hey I'm just guessing.  I don't know.

I do know she makes the guy light up and I'm pretty sure Dan will make it work.  You guys, I really don't think most of you guys know that it was really the FSU women who actually won the war for them in WWII.  These are tough ladies and you can bet, though they're soft, sexy and elegent...they've probably got one helluva temperment.

It's like they say,  you can forget Mother day, but don't you forget March 8th.

Dan will come through this after she gets him to see eye to eye with her.   Guys, women are women - there really isn't a different species over in the FSU.

That would be, fill in the blank and I could care less what anyone fills it in with :-) Ya know, I read one time BarryM was from a town called Porter. Coincidentaly, that happens to be where I grew up. Maybe I'm Barry :-) Trust me, NOONE would make that sh1t up. Noone in their right mind would claim to be from Porter unless they really were and usually if they were, they would hide that fact as long as they could!

Guys, this argument is senceless! Let's hope the best for Dan and his wife. I for one hate to see people have problems, especially if they love each other.

I have not been around here much lately. Just popped in to see what was happening.

You being someone who has posted a lot of valuable information for others on a regular basis, I have appreciated your presence.

I went back, searched and read your post about trying to save your marriage. I am so sorry to hear that there are troubles. I want to extend my sympathy to you and your wife for what you both must be going through, especially with a baby involved. My prayers and wishes are for the best outcome for you both during this most difficult time.

If there ever comes a time that you might think that you are ready and you think that your experience in all of this might be of help to others please consider such. These marriages can be very challenging with all of the dynamics involved.

If you do ever decide to post about this situation and you do not see a response from me in that post please e-mail me so that I read your story. I feel like I know you even though we have never met. Because of such I am personally truly distressed to hear of your difficult time.

Hopefully, you will be posting a story about how all that looked so bleak turned the corner to resolution and better times. If you just need someone to just talk to let me know.

If he's having problems, to bad for him!!!!

I never read his posts much anyways. I was sick of his ""know-it-all-attitude"" and hearing about his 30 or 300 or 3000 trips a year he makes overseas!! Plus he always had to have the last word in.

I did laugh at one thing, though. When he talked about how he had put his picture on business cards and pasing them out to the women.

Maybe he should of found a woman in his league!!

This is an open board and I am entittled to my opinion.

JR... yes, you are entitled to your opinion. You didn't need to voice them all, though...

As most know, Dan and I had our differences.

But, FWIW, I am sorry to hear of his troubles. Dropping off of here while he sorts things out is a good idea.

The biggest mistake he made, though, is in mentioning his problems here in the first place... it's just blood in the water for sharks...

I wish him the best... I hope things work out. That little baby deserves to have a father...

Irregardlous of what you think of him, those comments just aren't right! Yes, your entitled to your opinion, but decency would demand you to keep them in check. Never kick a man when he's down!!!! Any one takes who pleasure in anothers misfortune is an a**hole.

Yeah, Dan has his faults (as do I),  but he gave a lot of invaluable advise which far out weighed any of the "shortcomings" which you have brought up.  This is far more than can be said for anything you have ever contributed to this board.

If the dude got problems - he ought share them with everyone.

So as their just might be another dude in the gallery that might have a solution to his woes.

Maybe you should consider her point of view, he's out of town all the time and her best friend just died.  She's like a slave in a dungen, where the hell is her husband at?

Maybe Dan ought to consider becoming a truck driver and taking his wife along in his big rig.

If you going to marry someone, heck you minus well be there for them.  Especially a foreign lady who by all means just sits at home in front of the TV waiting to have a kid.

Or if the kid is already here, she's home all alone, where's DAN ?

She's like raising the kid by herself, heck she minus as well be in Ukraine with her momma and poppa...and the rest of her family to so as she can get a break.  

Don't ya know it would beat all if Dan was in the Ukraine while she's in Denver struggling.  It would piss me off too, if you were in my homeland having a great time, coming home with a bunch of interesting stories of your daily events only to have her think of her life as one big bore filled with a kid that can't even talk back, and just eats and poops all the time and keeps you up all night long crying as well..

Whatever your problem is Dan I hope you work it out.

As for the lady from Kherson, you keep forgeting I knew her. As long as you harbor the belief I didn't I'm not surprised at your (or his) attitudes. Thats water under the bridge however. I was recently in Kherson and it did bring back some memories, though not all good.

You should learn how to do windshield chip repairs, everybodies got a car with at least one recent chip in them.

Guarantee, people will stop and it's easy money, no overhead - though, you really should do it in the shade.

Get in with the insurance companies and they'll pay you $50 a repair (takes about 20-30 minutes), just tell your customers insurance companies will waiver their deductibles to have the repair done.

If your looking for a sideline job, it can't get any easier than this one.  Just make sure the customer reads and signs the disclaimer prior to starting the repair task. (included in their data).

When people have stressful issues to deal with, they need time to sort things out.  Once things start to clear, we may hear from him again.  For now, just keep him and his wife in your prayers and hope that things get better.
