Title: English Lessons on CD, Software
Post by: JaH on May 20, 2003, 04:00:00 AM
Anyone have experience with English lessons on media? My wife is a good intermediate speaker, but she would like some lessons she can listen to at home, or on a PC. I see Pimsleur has some, but maybe too simple. But I used the Pim Russian 1 (if you want to get it from me let me know) and it helped me, but I think she is too advanced if the English ones are aomparable.

Any advice, experience appreciated.

Tape some 'talk radio' call in shows and send her the cassetes. Just be sure to warn her that most of the hosts have an 'agenda' and a lot of the callers are nuts.

Pimsleur tapes were good for my virus. I used Rosetta Stone CD to learn Russian which was pretty good.
