Title: update on aos waiting period... Post by: keithandkatya on March 12, 2003, 05:00:00 AM Just to update those waiting as we are for word concerning our AOS...we were recently told that now instead of the 18 month time period to wait now we can expect an "aproximate waiting period of 24 months" ... this longer period is blamed on a shortage of staff and new security rules... and the beat goes on....

My coworker just filed AOS for his wife. He took the papers into the Miami INS office himself. He said the papers were officially stamped in while he was there. He was told that it would be at least 8 months before the AOS interview. I'm just reporting what my coworker told me. Title: Re: update on aos waiting period... Are you going through the Miami office? If so, then you have my deepest sympathy. We had to file our I-485 with Miami, but have since transferred to the New Orleans office. I never imagined people could care so little about their jobs until I met the people who work for the Miami office of INS. |
