Title: one lucky sonofagun.........
Post by: micha1 on February 25, 2003, 05:00:00 AM
Tonight on a show call  "La Facture",  -The Invoice- on french tv in Montréal, the was this story
about the Nigerian Spam.
One guy got an e-mail,  etc........  he answered and was told that he could help with 18 millions,
but the Central Bank of Nigeria in Lagos asked him to pay the taxes, $23 grands,
Dr. Franklin Armana his contact told him that they would send a check, not to worry.
Well he did get a check for 25 and 1/2 thousands and sended the 23.
The check had been stolen in a mail bad in Toronto and falsified.
The money was to travel from Quebec to Riga in Latvia to another bank on the Isle of
Tortola.
Then his bank  found out about the falsified check and the guy's bank asked for their money.
Would you believe that the bank in Riga had put a hold of his bank transfert and he got his
money back.
He did all this, answering the spam because he was to get 4 millions as a commission and
would have been the richest guy in his village.
An RCMP officer (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) came on and said that:  "The Nigerian were so
active in Canada and the USA, that both countries had special squadron of investigators
working on these cases."
He also said that 23 peoples had been scam for 9 millions smackers and those were only the
declared cases.   Some peoples were ashamed to come to the cops.
Bailey was right, n'est-ce-pas?

Yeah, the famous "419" scam. Last week it cost an innocent Nigerian diplomat his life in Prague. An elderly Czech who was scammed went to the Nigerian embassy and shot the first official he could find.

How does this relate to MOB? If she sounds to good to be true, she probably is. Keep your greed in check and take your time.
