Title: We are so very sorry for your loss Anasstasia. n/t Post by: Oscar on February 28, 2003, 05:00:00 AM Title: Re: My deepest sympathy to Anasstasia Post by: DonP on February 27, 2003, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to My deepest sympathy to Anasstasia, posted by Cold Warrior on Feb 26, 2003
First of all I wish to send my condolences and best wishes to Anasstasia and Lance's families. My main reason for replying here is that whether Anasstasia knows it or not, she is Blessed and has GOD watching over her. There is a law which the INS enforces quite vigorusly and with not much caring, that says that if the spouse has not been married 2 years; then the spouse will be deported. I looked at the timeline on Lance's web page and maybe Lance was aware of this also, but they were married legally in the U.S. 2 years and one day before he passed away. This will ensure that if Anasstasia decides to stay in the U.S., she can without any problems from the INS. You can't tell me that someone wasn't watching out for them in this very trying and sad time period. May God Bless all you guys out there who have a RW who are still searching for that special one. DonP(2.5 years married now!!) Title: I doubt that will happen Post by: BubbaGump on February 28, 2003, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: My deepest sympathy to Anasstasia, posted by DonP on Feb 27, 2003
Judges have ordered well over 100,000 illegal aliens deported but the INS won't spend the money to deport them. I doubt they will deport somebody that legally entered and lost her husband to cancer when they have bigger fish to fry. I posted this comment based on experience. My wife and I had a RW friend who had her husband die after 9 months marriage and she was deported. That was the reason I made this comment. Sad but true. Title: Wow! Post by: BubbaGump on February 28, 2003, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: I doubt that will happen, posted by DonP on Feb 28, 2003
Millions of illegal aliens in the USA and they chose to deport someone under those circumstances. She probably didn't have enough money to get a decent lawyer and fight it or maybe she didn't want to stay with her husband gone. The money from his estate could go a long way in Ukraine. Or she might have been worried about getting by in the USA by herself and she might have not had a green card. Title: hey Don ? Don, did she get her conditional green card before he died? Which can be a matter of months or even a year or two depending where she lives. The reason I ask is that once she has the first green card it is rather simple to stay here regardless of marriage or death. With all due respect, I prefer not to have God watch over me, if it might result in an untimely and premature death. I'll put my faith in science and medicine, it's more predictable. [This message has been edited by Alfred] With all due respect to science and medicine: I would prefer to have G-d looking over me too. I was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident. The doctors told my father that night that I was going to die. I'm here to tell you about it. I had both science and G-d looking out for me that night. Did your God "look away" while your serious accident was taking place? Maybe he thought you deserved this. It pains me to stoop to this level of juvenile discussion. Man and his Gods, when will sanity arrive? Rick, You show plenty of disrespect. I would think in an offer of sympathy that there remains little place for your view on Religon. I mean you have a right to say and think these things.....I just think its an incredably wrong place to express them. Randy Title: Can't help but think of one problem with that.. I didn't notice that they were married on 21 feb.2000. Lance was in a coma for 6 days, he hung in there just sufficient to make sure his wife wasn't deported. Title: Re: You're right......... I am stunned by this personal tragedy. My heart goes out to Anasstasia, her son, and Lance's family. We just lost one of our own... I looked at both Anasstasia and Lance's site and I didn't see any mention of an illness or disease inflicting Lance. Was he involved in an accident? What happened that someone so young and looked so healthy should pass away? My deepest and heartfelt sympathies to Anassatais. I understand what she is going through. I lost my wife, the mother of my 2 childen, when they were young, and wound up raising them by myself. It has been tough and the last one is graduating from college this year. She will find the strength and wisdom to pull through this tragic event. Let us pray for her and her family. is my great sorrow for other's pain. After seeing this young couple I can only feel the deepest sorrow. I feel greatly for the sorrow that Oscar and his family have to endure. It is one thing when we create our own demise, but when these great life disasters come-to the most undeserving people.......I am just stupefied. I see so many people who do so much harm and then I look at this young man with his truly lovely wife.........I am blown away. I can only say--------I hope there is a just God and this is true testament that the good get set free while the rest of us are stuck here paying our penitence. God bless Anasstasia and her family, Oscar and his family and all those of you with true love in your hearts.......I hope that your love keeps you true! I believe they were married less than a year. I hope she can get through this ok but the death of a spouse is the most stressful thing that can happen to you. Title: Excuse my ignorance... Their whole story can be found at the add provided by CW. I looked it up briefly to find out what had happened. I ended up reading both her and his site. A sad story ...his funeral is today. He was 29. Valadictorian of his class. A year old child. She runs a business that many here could use. I would advise to check this site out. Randy Title: OK...
