Title: Deportation scenario..
Post by: tfcrew on February 28, 2003, 05:00:00 AM
Deportation of a foreign spouse, unless obvious fraud or criminal conduct is involved, is unlikely.
A Removal of Conditions 751 form (for example) can be submitted  even though the marriage has ended for some reason.
The suggestion that Anastassia would have been/could have been deported was a bit strained at best.

this is how the Arabs and Mexicans get citizenship-----if they are illegal or on a student visa or something......they have a child that is a citizen and from what I gather that entitles them to citizenship. The problem with the FSU clan is that our government makes them sign an affidavit that if they have a child here-it is not a citizen.......but if you are from the Middle East or Mexico??????/well then that is a whole different thing-you are entitled to welfare, Medicaid and everything else....I know this at least worked for my brother in law.....his parents had a few million in assets back in Jordan while they collected Medicaid here. I could go on and on but it is not appropriate at this time------and it makes me mad.

That the children are American citizens doesn't make the illegal parents citizens. When the children get older (over 18 years) they can petition their parents. In the meanwhile, they still being illegal unless other relative petitiones for them.

I have heard of couples being deported eventhough their children were Americans. The children can come back when they get older if they want.
