Try this: View/Encoding/then select the languages like "Cyrillic-Western European Windows-W.E. ISO- etc" until you get it deciphered. There used to be only one or two languages but now there are many different styles used. I think my wife has 4 or 5 that she uses to read her e-mail.

I don't know about aol but I've used Netscape and IE with hotmail. You just need to click

View-character set-Cyrrillic(windows 1251)

That should allow you to read your messages. If you want to practice e-mail me. I'll be on and off the computer all day today. I can send you some Russian(in Russian and English) love poems to share with the ladies.

Set up an account at mail.ru or ukrpost.net and resend the mail.

He's using aol, like I do. Russian letters display on aol email as rubbish signs, send the aol email to a Russian account and you get readable Russian letters. Or better still just use the Russian account for emails from Russia.

The Russian accounts also handle Latin letters without problems. There are other ways to get around this, but that was my quick easy suggestion as I've yet to find a Russian account that can't handle Russian script.

Why is it they don't print cyrillic...Even if I "copy" it to a clipboard nd try to print it like a photo it doesn't work..."Strange" that a copy of a photo can be printed but foreign letter characters can not...
