Title: Patriot Monument
Post by: unsure on September 16, 2002, 04:00:00 AM
I saw a monument from the road in Moscow and I've been wondering about it for a while.  It's the one that looks like a spike and has what looks like angels suspended about 2/3 of the way up.  And there's a horse on its hind legs at the base.  It's located in the park devoted to the Patriot War (the one with all the fountains).

Does anyone know any info about this or maybe have a link where I can find out more about it?  It really caught my attention because it seemed so different from other landmarks I have seen.

Thanks,

John

Is this the monument in Victory Park, not far from the Moscow Royal?

If it is, there is a short article about the monument here:
