Title: After Medical At St. Lukes...... Post by: JhunnieE on March 06, 2002, 05:00:00 AM Hello Guys, I am kind of new here and found this site to be very helpful.
My wife in the Pinas is going to get her medical exam done tommorow at St. Lukes for K3 Visa. Now, for those of you who have gone through this process, what would be the next step. The embassy there informed my wife that there is no need for an interview. Who gets to submit the papers to the embassy? and how long after the medical exam will she recieve her visa if everything goes smooth? I would really appreciate it when you guys share with me your info/experience. Also, I am trying to get this good deal in one-way ticket from Manila to Chicago at $550 if I purchase it in Pinas. Thank you much!!! Title: Re: After Medical At St. Lukes...... Post by: Ray on March 07, 2002, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to After Medical At St. Lukes......, posted by JhunnieE on Mar 6, 2002
Hi J, welcome to the forum. I was hoping that one of the recent K-3 dudes would answer your question, but I guess they are still in the honeymoon mode. Anyway, this is my understanding of the process. The medical exam at St. Luke’s usually takes 2 days. At the end of the second day, the staff at St. Luke’s will collect all the documents from your wife and submit them to the embassy. There is normally no interview. If everything is in order, the embassy should forward her visa via courier within about 2 weeks. If they need more information or documents, they will usually contact her by courier also. I noticed that you were just married in January. That was fast processing of your application! How did you meet your wife? Good luck with the visa, Ray |
