Title: Beware on Sending ATM card to RP Post by: greg on February 07, 2002, 05:00:00 AM I send my Mahal an ATM debit card in my name, the ATM machine ate the card. Now the Bank is giving her a hard time giving it back. Be sure that the card is in her name. Anyone ever experience this plm before? I wrote the Bank an Email letter stating that she has Authorization to use card. Hope she get it back. greg

Yes, it's risky sending cards in our name. The Bank accepted my email letter and returned the card to Her. Becuz of Sept 11th, some Banks are sending out new cards. The old card was no problem, now this newer card is kinda harder on ATMs in RP. :o( greg Title: Re: A friend used one for 2 years without a problem Post by: J4J on February 08, 2002, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Beware on Sending ATM card to RP, posted by greg on Feb 7, 2002
Not to mention any names incase bankers are reading this but, one was set-up with a US bank in her US friend's name so her earnings from her websites could be easily sent to her. She used ATMs in the Philippines and Hong Kong without problems other than the occasional ATM "out-of-order" experience.lol They used a separate "savings account" not used for anything else. Miss (soon to be Mrs.) says "Hi" to everyone. That is a risk with this type of plan. Unless she is in the US, you may have a hard time getting her name on the card, as most banks require a "signature card". Best just to get her a new card asap and send it to her. Larry. |
